In the course, students are taught basic Latin grammar and lexicology, focusing on professional communication in the healthcare environment. Mastering the basic vocabulary helps the students describe anatomical structures precisely and in detail and assess health conditions in numerous pre-clinical and clinical specializations. In the course, students will: - acquire basic knowledge of Latin - grammatical and lexical. - understand discourse typical of professional healthcare. - learn correct pronunciation. - acquire basic knowledge of Latin and partly Greek medical terminology. - develop an understanding of syntax of elementary texts. - adopt a logical understanding of the basic vocabulary. - learn to use a dictionary correctly and efficiently. - develop logical thinking, linguistic accuracy, feeling for the language and structural insight into the language. - learn about the culture that formed the basis of all of Europe's education.
