Course description

Despite some flashbacks into history, the main focus of the course is contemporary Anglo-Saxon culture, with main emphasis on the British society of today. We will explore its key institutions, core values and structure. The topics discussed will also include the impact of American culture and the influence of globalization.

To introduce students to Anglo-American culture with emphasis on the culture of Great Britain.
To acquaint them with cultural trends in the Anglo-American world across centuries (Age of Reason, Romantism, Puritans, Victorians, Hippies) and their impact on Anglo-American society.
