The goal of the course is to familiarize students with the problematics of music reception. The main emphasis will be given and major part of the course will be focused on the explanation of the change and development of the musical means of expression and specific features of music in particular historical periods in the context of aesthetics of music and theoretical thinking about music. The course will present key musical concepts as well. Theoretical explanations will be accompanied with music illustrations (seminars).
