Seminar Paper Guideline

A few steps to take into consideration when writing your seminar paper

1. Make a pair or group of three.
2. Browse the internet or printed sources (newspapers, magazines, etc.) and find an interesting article dealing with current issues related to any English speaking country.
3. Brainstorm in the group, use your imagination and transform the text into a study material aimed at your classmates.
4. The transformed text should/might contain a "task sheet" based on the following items:
   1. A set of comprehension questions.
   2. Vocabulary bank ? monolingual/bilingual dictionary of most important words taken from the text.
   3. One or two grammar / vocabulary exercises related to the text.
   4. Additional material ? relevant pictures, listening activities, crosswords, quizzes, etc.
   5. Answer key!
5. Format
   1. The title page is not mandatory.
   2. The source text as well as the task sheet should be approximately one A4 page long.
   3. Do not forget to state your names (e.g. in the right upper corner).
   4. Do not forget to state used sources. (Plagiarism is an academic crime! :-) ).
6. Ask your seminar lecturer any time you are not sure how to proceed.
7. Write, print and submit your seminar paper due WEEK 13. (SEND A COPY OF YOUR PRESENTATION TO TEACHER´S EMAIL).
