The course aims to provide basic knowledge of linguistics as a scientific discipline, briefly show the evolution and current status, to introduce basic concepts and terminology necessary for learning foreign languages. A further present the language as a system to analyze the various components of the system and the relationships between them. Provide a deeper view of language as a means of communication and social phenomenon reflecting and influencing the thinking of speakers and their perception of reality. Development of linguistic thought for further study of linguistics, English and other foreign languages and their use in professional practice.
