The aim of the subject is to expand and deepen students' knowledge and competences in the sphere of work with disabled and handicapped people in context with their initial knowledge and experience. The content is accentuated on understanding the relation of disabled people and intact majority and specifics of helping professionals' attitude to these people. The students will be acquianted with essential professional terminology, acquire basic orientation in relevant legislation and system of care of the people with a health handicap in the health service resort, educational system resort and social care resort.
