Course annotation KSS/1VEMA -IS/STAG

The course makes students acquainted with theories and practice of the public opinion research from the historical, international and Czech perspective. It deals with theoretical basis of the discipline while significant literature is presented too.
It draws attention to the methodology of public opinion research. Since the course also employs reading of classical literature, students are expected to know at least one world language, the best English. During the classes students are supposed to discuss some of the concerned texts. Regarding the practice - the students learn to interpret results of the public opinion research. The ethic codex ESOMAR and WAPOR (the European and World Association for Public Opinion Research) will be another crucial topic.

The course is taught in English.
