Course objectives:

Course is thought in English only. The goal of the course is to explore the life in past societies via analysis of the anthropological and archaeological record. Seminar discussions are focused on the relationship among archaeology, biological anthropology, and social anthropology. Practical project guides students through processing of mortuary data, statistical analysis, and interpretation of observed patterns.

Students will have to: - Read literature on weekly basis - Contribute to seminar discussions - Prepare a project based on the analysis of mortuary data Student should have knowledge of English on C1 level.
