Course objectives:
|
This is a reading seminar focusing on either classical or contemporary sociology (varies by instructor). An emphasis is put on reading complete books and just selected section as is usual in other classes.
A part of the seminar may be substituted by supervised homework.
The course is taught in English.

Requirements on student
|
If the student wants to pass the course successfully, he/she needs to prepare continually by writing the scheduled texts. It serves to acquire analytical and systematical abilities for further work with information. Self-study is a complementary part of the course.
