Course objectives:
|
The comprehensive course of English in commercial practice using a modern thematic coursebook covers several communication levels in the business ennvironment, from vocabulary, grammar and phraseology to listening comprehension and the production of written text. Students learn the subject matter within broader thematic units such as company structure, customer care, marketing and advertising, Internet trading, organization of business meetings and conferences, etc. A key part of the course is the practice of authentic situations (telephone call, meeting clients, presentation of the company's products, dealing with complaints, etc.) using the relevant phraseology. The students simultaneously learn the basics of commercial correspondence. The course contains ample listening and video material.

Requirements on student
|
Completion of the midterm test, written and oral final exam, submission of assignments and a presentation. Active in-class participation is recommended.
