To obtain common overview of information system branch. To get basic knowledge of information systems based on the relational database technology.

Credit
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes: The course-unit credit is awarded for individual elaboration of semester work and its presentation before the tutor. See Courseware Individual Work for more information. The term paper must be submitted at the latest by the deadline for submission. Work that does not meet the requirements will be returned for revision until it is submitted with all the requisites.
Deadline 31.5.2024
Only credit is awarded for the work, no points are transferred to the exam.
Exam
The exam is written, it consists of two parts - theoretical, which concerns mainly the topics discussed in lectures, and practical, which mainly concerns the topics discussed in the exercises.
It is necessary to obtain a minimum number of points from both parts, otherwise both parts of the test must be repeated.
The number of points from the examination is determined as follows (maximum 70 points in total):
Theoretical part - maximum 50 points, minimum 30 points
Practical part - maximum 20 points, minimum 12 points in the case of continuous work during the semester - documented by tasks submitted to the portal, otherwise at least 14 points

2. Life cycle of information system development, entering information system, functional and nonfunctional requirements.
3. Analysis of the information system, data, functional, dynamic, communication with the user.
4. Draft implementation, transaction, violation of data consistency.
5. Implementation in the form of project methodology.
6. Post-implementation phase of the project.
7. The contractual and legal issues of implementation of information systems, supply systems specifications into different segments.
8. Verticalization market, the types of information systems.
9. Distributed systems, system integration, the importance of the Internet.
10. Examples (Information systems for small, medium and large companies. Information systems for manufacturing companies. Information systems for customer relationship management (CRM) .Informační systems for government. Information systems for content management.
