Course objectives:
|
The objective of the course is to provide detailed overview in the field of the International Public Law. With regard to the wide scope of this course, the abovementioned problematic is further developed in the number of supplemental compulsory-optional courses.

1.Legal regulation of the relationship between the national law and International Law in the Czech Republic and in other states (Great Britain, USA, France, Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, The Netherlands)
2. Relationship and interaction of the international treaties and custom in recent International Law
3. Basic principles of the International Law according to the United Nations Charter
4. Legal basis of the state jurisdiction (principles of territoriality, personality and universality)
5. Subjectivity of the international organisations in the light of the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice of 1949 ("reparation for injuries suffered in the service of the United nations")
6. Formation of the new states and significance of the recognition of the states in the recent International Law
7. Right for self-determination of peoples
8. International Law Commission Draft Articles on Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts
9. Legal remedies and compensations for breach of the international commitments
10. Draft Code of Crimes against the Peace and Security of mankind and establishment of the International Criminal Court

Student bude rozumnět odborné anglické mezinárodněprávní terminologii a vztahu mezi vnitrostátním a mezinárodním právem |
Předmět umožní studentům porozumět mechanismům mezinárodního práva veřejného a jeho základním konceptům. Studenti získají povědomí o ústředních problémech spojených s aplikací mezinárodního práva na aktuální dění ve světě. |
Student porozumí úloze mezinárodního práva v životě mezinárodního společenství i jednotlivých států; Význam mezinárodního práva, jeho vnitrostátní aplikace a vztah s právem vnitrostátním je předpokladem právních znalostí a vzdělání každého právníka. |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
Student bude schopen písemně prezentovat výsledky své práce, bude schopen provádět analýzy problémů a obhájit svou práci před odbornou komisí |
Úspěšní absolventi předmětu budou schopni aplikovat základní koncepty mezinárodního práva veřejného v mezinárodním i vnitrostátním kontextu, prohloubí si schopnost studovat a rozumět rozsudkům mezinárodních soudů a tribunálů a budou vybaveni nástroji nezbytnými pro kritickou reflexi aktuálních problémů týkajících se této právní oblasti. |
Student aplikuje poznatky na modelové situace, jedná a nalézá řešení v souladu s právními principy, zhodnotí, zdůvodní a posoudí zvolená řešení v souladu s právním rámcem ČR. |
