Course objectives:
|
Power supplies in modern electronic systems, batteries and accumulators of miscellaneous types, transformers and rectifiers, voltage filters, linear regulators, impulse power supplies, and regulators, AC-DC and DC-DC converters, resonant power supplies, examples of integrated circuits for converters from main world producers, power supplies for consumer and industrial electronic, uninterruptible power supplies.

Realization semester work on the practise, elaboration result on the report, simulation system in the software PSPICE, final presentation

1) Basic electrochemical cells
2) Alkaline accumulators (NiCd, NiMH...), Lead acid accumulators, charging methods
3) Transformers, rectifiers, filters
4) Standard voltage linear regulators (serial and parallel system)
5) Important integrated voltage regulators, current mode regulators, over current and over voltage protection
6) Basic information about switching mode power supply
7) Switching power supply without line transformer, primary and secondary regulation
8) Switching power supply (switching frequency higher then 20kHz )
9) Control and regulating electronic systems of switching power supply
10) Control circuits for switching power supply
11) Industrial power supplies and power supplies for computing
12) EMC
