Rousseau rozlišoval tři druhy svobody: přirozenou, morální a občanskou.
Anotace v angličtině
This thesis focuses on Rousseau's dichotomous model of developmental stages. In the framework of this work, I want to show that Rousseau implicitly mentioned, in addition to the savage and the citizen, their intermediate stage, and therefore it is not a dichotomous model, but a trichotomous one. I call this intermediate stage the "lazy barbarian". Furthermore, I would like to clarify Rousseau's concept of freedom related to these stages. For this reason, I want to explore Rousseau's concept as it can help clarify the interpretation of his work. Using content analysis, I want to confirm or dsprove the assumptions that Rousseau implicitly mentioned an intermediate stage between the savage and the citizen, considering the savage as free and the citizen as unfree, although he admitted that the citizen can be free under certain conditions. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part deals with the characteristics of the savage, the citizen and the inequalities that Rousseau explored. The second part focuses on the causes and consequences of the social contract. In the third part, I discuss the passages that implicitly mention the lazy barbarian. The fourth part discusses Rousseau's concept of freedom within the framework of the trichotomous model. Rousseau distinguished three types of freedom: natural, moral and civil.
