Konec Kaddáfího režimu vnesl Libyi do vleklých a chaotických občanských válek, kde vzniklo mocenské vakuum.

My bachelor thesis discusses Libya's regional position after the Jamahiriya's collapse. It focuses on the trends that have affected its regional position from 2011 to 2024. The end of the Gaddafi regime plunged Libya into a protracted and chaotic civil war, which created a power vacuum. This vacuum was gradually filled by terrorist organizations such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda, or Ansar al-Sharia. Tribes and states also played a vital role, competing mainly for the state's oil capacity. Libya offers geostrategic advantages and serves as a gateway to sub-Saharan Africa. The whole situation intensified in 2014 with the arrival of Khalifa Haftar on the political scene, which caused the second civil war in the country, as he tried to eliminate all radical and Salafist parties in the country. The internationally recognized government in the capital Tripoli stood against him. This rivalry has plunged Libya into deeper darkness, and the way out will be difficult.
