This bachelor thesis is dedicated to setting the right concept of pregnancy exercise from the point of view of physiotherapy. It is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part I mainly focus on the physical changes that pregnancy causes, how these changes affect the overall physical set-up of the mother-to-be and what problems can arise from these changes. Furthermore, in this part I also discuss how pregnancy exercise can eliminate or mitigate these negative effects as much as possible and what are the most suitable physical activities a woman can do during pregnancy. I will also compare the leadership style and techniques used in different pregnancy exercise classes depending on whether the class is led by a physiotherapist, a fitness trainer, a midwife or a doula for example, and I will focus on whether the type of education has an impact on the quality of the classes. Finally, there will also be given space to the women themselves who attend the sessions and there will be explored how the exercise affects them, why have they decided to start exercising and again whether the qualifications of the session leader in any way influences the feelings of the participants.
