Course objectives:
|
The aim of subject is to deepen students´ knowledge of methodology and narrowly the specific methodologies of selected social sciences. The emphasis will be placed on theoretical and practical mastery of the methodology of qualitative and quantitative research. The students will be acquainted with the conducting of basic media research and analysis of social networks. The course will be completed with the information from the research of religion within social sciences.

Requirements on student
|
Students attend lectures and work independently with assigned texts. They present and discuss contents of these texts during seminar. Formulation of an essay on chosen topic is the condition for students to be examined.

Students understand various approaches of specific social sciences to different research questions related to the region of Middle East. They have a grasp of main methodological problems, they are able to identify weak points in methods used in analyzed case studies.
