Course objectives:
|
The course follows up on the subject Judaism and Jews since the Middle Ages 1, it is a continuation of chronological interpretation of the development of Jewish culture and identity. The course introduces the development of Jewish culture in the diaspora, anti-Semitic threat, the intertwining of cultures, the transformation of self-understanding and the reform of Judaism. The second part of the course is devoted to the existence of the Jewish minority in the Czech lands.

Requirements on student
|
seminar work, seminar paper. The condition for access to the oral exam is the fulfillment of the condition of the presentation of the seminar paper or alternatively the elaboration of a seminar work in 5 standard pages.

- to possess expert knowledge required in the course Judaism and Jews since the Middle Ages 1 (KBS / J1X)
- to describe the most important events, places and figures of the medieval history of the Jews
- to introduce this history into the overall context of the history of Europe and the Middle East. |
