Course objectives:
|
This course extends the knowledge in didactics of chemical subjects and the information and knowledge gained in pedagogy, psychology and vocational subjects. Sutendts acquire the theoretical knowledge and gain basic skills for quality work of beggining (trainee) teacher.
|
Requirements on student
|
Class participation on seminars, elaboration and presentaation of preparation on seminars.
Pass credit test - student demonstrates the basic knowledge of chemistry courses and the ability to teach this chemistry at elementary schools.
Final exam - student demonstrates the knowledge of the theoretical content of seminars (and colleges) and the ability to apply this knowledge to situations which may occur in practice during chemistry lessons at elementary schools.
|
Content
|
1. Didactics of organic chemistry and biochemistry, concept of teaching for elementary school
2. Hydrocarbons, overview, hydrocarbons saturated
3. Petrol, engine feed and similar application-oriented themes
4. Oil, natural gas, coal and their processing
5. Hydrocarbons unsaturated and aromatic
6. Nomenclature of organic compounds
7. Hydrocarbon derivatives, derivatives, oxygen and nitrogen derivatives
8. Alcohols - the chemical and social significance of the problem
9. Macromolecular substances, polymerization
10. Natural substances. Carbohydrates, photosynthesis
11. Fats, waxes, soaps
12. Protein, amino acids, the basis of life
13. Other natural substances, fermentation process, pharmaceuticals, detergents ...
This subject follows the courses of KPG and KPS and is also connected with the special subjects KPG Special Pedagogy for Teachers and KPS Pedagogical Psychology for Elementary Schools, whose general knowledge is applied to didactics of chemistry.
In the seminar there is preparation for KCH / PP Output Practice (patterns of preparation of written preparations, outline of possible variants of output hours on given topics, training of individual phases of lesson, students' outcomes). After graduation, the analysis and reflection of the experiences of the individual students takes place.
