Course objectives:
|
Students will improve their communication skills and other skills necessary for mastering of correct business communication, especially correspondence. Students will improve their competences necessary for mastering of correct business correspondence, dealings and performing. Emphasis is put on written and verbal practice of grammar and mastering of vocabulary.
This course is taught in German.

Content
|
The course aims to improve students´ business correspondence writing, lending, banking and insurance. Students will acquire methods and forms of modern communication and main principles of correct business communication, in own business sphere and between business partners. Source of specific competences is especially analysis of didactically modified and authentic business correspondence texts, correction and auto-correction of students´ works.

to list the formal principles of writing business letters in German |
to list and identify individual parts of a German written business letter |
to compare Czech-written and German-written business letter and identify stylistic and formal differences |

to communicate in B2 at B2 level |
to compile your own business letter in accordance with the formal principles of each type of business letter |
to use lexicographical manuals when writing business letters in German |
to recognize, correct and, if necessary, to reformulate language and content errors in written speech |
to compile your own written statement in accordance with the content of the various types of business letters |
to analyze the content and structure of sample business letters in German |

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
to describe in German the specifics of each commercial form |
to describe the content structure of the different forms of business correspondence in German |
to explain the key terms used in business communication (especially in emails and letters) |
to characterize content and formally the individual components of a German written business letter |
to assign appropriate equivalent terms and steady turnarounds in Czech and German business correspondence |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
on the basis of an analysis of the content structure to compile business letters in German language, in accordance with all the formal principles of each type of business letter |
to apply the principles of working with lexicographical manuals, portfolio and verification by means of an Internet search for writing business letters in German |
to analyze its own communications of the administrative functional style and perform the autocorectory based on the acquired knowledge |
to analyze the content and structure of both sample and authentic business letters |
to identify language and content deficiencies in communications created by other authors and to design their own solutions based on acquired knowledge |
to take into account the stylistic specifics for the administrative functional style in building their own communications |
