Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to describe the multimedia systems in terms of their technical parameters and digital signal processing methods influencing a perception of quality. The fundamentals of human vision and hearing, colorimetry, digital signal processing, enhancement of technical parameters of multimedia systems and their measurement in special laboratory rooms are explained. Several methods of quality perception evaluation is also described, especially subjective and objective methods, testing procedures and method comparison.
