Course objectives:

To introduce students with management principle of the power industry in market conditions. To understand the electricity specialities against other sorts of goods in the delivering systems from supply cycles to consumers. To determine the electricity price on the base of costs and revenues flows in electrical systems. To learn the energy balances of the systems, suplly systems and power consumption.

Cr.: Working out of the semestral work, participation in training courses. Ex.: Encompassment of the problems in the scope of lestures (recorded example, orally theoretical part).

Content
|
The subject deals with the principles of power systems management and marketing, especially in electric power systems. The classification of electric power systems costs is discussed and the electricity price is defined. Next, the function and problematic of the transmission power network in market conditions and on consumption side management is discussed.
Lecture schedule: 1. Introduction to the subject, the definition of basic terms - electric power network, marketing, management. 2. Balance of the power system networks and their parameters. 3. Specialties of power networks, selling amount determination. 4. Classification of the costs flow in electric power networks - segmentation. 5. Electricity power price determination, market with it and its operation. 6. Electricity tariffs 7. Account deviation among suppliers and customers. 8. Transmission power network role in power network. 9. Determination of the power system services costs 10. Role of legislative environment for power systems 11. Power source support in outstanding market environment. 12. Function of interconnected power networks in market conditions 13. Demand side management.
