To make students acquainted with current information on principles of safety in electrotechnics.

Requirements on student

Credit: Proving of knowledge in problems within the range determinate by the guarantee in written test (requirement to gain 25 mark fron 30).

Content
|
Legislative system of due diligence for safety of electricalinstallation, legal regulations, technical standards.
Professional qualifications in electrotechnics, operation of electrical installation, human factor influence on safety, electric current effects on human, IEC standardized voltage.
Effect of engineering characteristic on safety, type of supply system, identification of conductors by colours or numerals, grafical symbols for use on equipment.
Electrical installation - assesment of general characteristics, external effects coding, classification of environmental conditions in term of protection against electric shock.
Protection against electric shock - common aspects for installation, use of protection according to space and way of equipments operating.
Conception of protection against electric shock, fundamental principles of used safety precautions.
Basic protection, fault protection.
Enhanced protective provision, supplementary protection.
Generic protective provision - automatic disconnection of supply.
Generic protective provision - double or reinforced insulation, electrical separation for single appliance supply, extra-low voltage (SELV system, PELV system).
Some next protection.
Protection coordination, class 0 (I, II, III) appliance.
Rules for first aid application, specificity of first aid at electric shock.
