Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to get students familliar with the development and developmental practice as the main factor of social change in contemporary society.

Requirements on student
|
The course is divided into two basic parts. Development will be introduced as a semantic domain, its institutional background and its connection with the modernization theory. The other theoretical part of the course focus on the contextual assumption and barriers in development process and the reactions related to directed social change. The basic topics of development will be discussed in the second part of the course. The students will be present seminars reading in this second part.
The processing of learning tasks is the essential part of this course. The learning tasks are controlled continuously by teacher. Texts for study are elaborated in required form (essay, presentation, resume, synopsis, abstract).
