Course objectives:
|
The course is intended to give students a good insight into the following areas of material handling (MH) planning: terminology and function; MH means and systems; means of transporting material to production systems; MH system design; warehousing, storage automation and design; metal scrap handling; packaging equipment requirements; packaging storage and maintenance of packaging machines; weighing, measuring, counting; systematic MH system design; methods of material classification; material flow, MH system implementation. The course is intended for advanced students who have already mastered the basics of production systems planning.
