Course objectives:
|
To provide knowledge of the course of writing in primary schools. Development of Latin alphabet, analysis of writing movements, qualitative and quantitative characteristics of writing, writing skills and habits. Individual handwriting style, methods of practising writing and teaching writing in current schools. Writing drawbacks and disorders, research of children?s writing and preparation for teaching.

Content
|
1. Objectives and content of teaching, school readiness and pre-school preparation for writing.
2. Development of methods of initial writing, reform of writing system, handwriting samples, elements of letters.
3. Basic characteristics of writing, quality and quantity of writing.
4. Psychological and pedagogical aspects of writing.
5. Preparation period for writing, development of graphomotoric skills, work and hygienic habits.
6. Current teaching writing in the 1st grade of primary schools and problems with training writing.
7. Teaching techniques in training initial writing, current copybooks and their methodological analysis.
8. Using auxiliary lineature to optimize initial writing, reasons of difficulties for beginners, writing disorders.
9. Methodology of left hand writing, alternative methods of teaching writing.
10. How to eliminate writing mistakes, marking and assessment, diagnosing.
11. How to calm down students before writing, relaxation, exercises for relaxing hand and fingers.
12. Developing writing skills of pupils in the 2nd and 3rd grade of primary schools, current copybooks.
