Course objectives:
|
The objective of the course taught by a native English speaker is to improve communication skills in the English language with regard to situations typically occurring in commercial practice. Students improve their spoken English by means of presentations, group and pair discussions as well as short improvised speaking activities. In addition to grammar (the correct use of tenses, modal verbs, verb patterns, etc.), phraseology enabling effective communication is practised as well. Students learn to express and defend their own viewpoint, conduct a dialogue, use various courtesy strategies. The course also involves listening activities and the use of video material. After the completion of the course, students communicate with greater effectiveness in a wide range of situations, using appropriate grammar, vocabulary and style.
