The bachelor?s thesis tries to describe what is the basis and foundation of several problems connected to process of revolution in military affairs at Department of Defense in USA. Thesis is deducing how deep was the impact of such notion on several major weapons programs such as Crusader artillery system and its cancellation in 2002 and if this impact was induced by RMA. Therefore it naturally starts with brief description of what RMA doctrine is and history of subsequent RMA debate in American defense community and emphasizes the role of PNAC on then-future defense acquisitions. To sufficiently expose limits of impact it also has to dwell into acquisition system of DoD and briefly say something about institutionalization of relationship between civilian and military leaderships. The different views and grasping of RMA process of these actors are the notions responsible for friction in different programs. Comparison of two major weapons programs confirms this stance, as it reveals that due to the process of revolution in military affairs, some programs survive and some die.
