a Spojených států amerických, není zvláštní.

Goal of this thesis Special Relations between the US and the UK since the end of Cold War was to prove that these relations between Great Britain and United States of America never existed. This paper first described the relationship between London and Washington, its features, since the 19th century. Then they are closely discused in the post-Cold War era, where I mainly concetrated on the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington DC, held on 11 September 2001. Criticism of these so called special relations was based on two arguments. The first argument is the attitude of the population of these countries, how they perceive this relationship, the second is similarity between the relationship of Great Britain and United States with relations of United States and other countries.
The result is, that if the population of involved countries don´t think that relationships of their country with other is special, and if the relations of two countries are similar to relations which has one of the two countries with other states, the relationship of these two countries, Great Britain and United States of America, is not special.
