This work is devoted to the Republican movements in Australia and New Zealand, which seek to change the constitutional order in the country from a constitutional monarchy into a republic. It also examines the development, which both countries went through on the way from the colonies to independence and their changing relationship with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This thesis seeks to answer a number of questions relating to the republican movements, including the question of why the state system did not change yet and whether this will happen in the near future.
