Annotation in English
In my thesis I am dealing with the ethics of the Israeli Defense Forces during its fight against terrorism and guerilla war. I attempt to find out if the Israeli army keeps rules of engagement, international humanitarian law and its Code of Ethics during this struggle. It is an asymetrical conflict and so I devote a great part of the work to the description of this kind of conflict and difficulties related to it. I also devote chapter to military checkpoints, symbols of Israeli occupation and points of daily friction between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians. I also use my own findings gained during fieldwork in Israel and Palestinian Authority.
