The bachelor thesis deals with the causes of the Liberal Democratic Party's success in the British general election of 2010. The aim of the thesis is to analyse individual causes. The causes are divided into two categories. First category examines inner causes of the success, particularly ideological and organizational transformation of the party, its manifesto and participation of the party's leader Nick Clegg in televised debates. Second category analyses outer causes of the success, especially failure of the Labour Party and the role of media, social networks and opinion polls. As a result the thesis decides which category was more important for the party's success.
