V teoretické části pracuji s teorií sociálního konstruktivismu a konceptem identit, tvorby norem a konstrukcí národních zájmů, kterým se podrobně věnuje Alexandr Wendt.
Annotation in English
This thesis analyzes the foreign policy of Uzbekistan from 1991 to the present. I work here with the theory of social constructivism, through the theory I try to find continuity in a discontinuous Uzbek foreign policy. The theoretical part deals with the theory of social constructivism and identity concepts, norms and the construction of national interests, which are addressed in detail Alexander Wendt. Finally, I deal with role theory in the analysis of foreign policy.
Role theory is here use as a powerful analytical tool because identity has no effect to foreign policy of Uzbekistan. Its existence de facto denies authoritarian regime of President Islam Karimov.
