Tato práce se zabývá roli Turecka v řešení konfliktů. Popisuje typy konfliktů, možné strategie a nástroje pro řešení konfliktů. Turecké postoje a opatření týkající se řešení konfliktů a zajištění bezpečnosti nám umožňují vhled do současné turecké zahraniční politiky. Současná turecká zahraniční politika byla formována od roku 2002, kdy se k moci dostala nová politická strana AKP. Tato práce se vztahuje na období od roku 2001 do roku 2015. Nejdříve popisuji hlavní body turecké zahraniční politiky a dále demonstruji roli Turecka na čtyřech konkrétních konfliktech. Je to afghánský konflikt, somálský konflikt, libyjský konflikt a syrský konflikt. Analyzovala jsem, jaké nástroje zahraniční politiky a strategie řešení konfliktů Turecko v těchto konfliktech používalo, a stejně tak ve které fázi konfliktu vstoupilo do řešení. Na konci práce shrnuji informace vyplývající z mé analýzy role Turecka v konfliktech.

This thesis deals with the role of Turkey in resolving conflicts. It describes the types of conflicts, possible strategies and tools for conflict resolution. Turkish attitudes and actions on issues of conflict and ensuring security shows us insights into contemporary Turkish foreign policy. The current Turkish foreign policy has been shaping since 2002 when came to power a new political party AKP. This work therefore covers the period from 2001 to 2015. Firstly I described the main points of turkish foreign policy which is followed by four specific conflicts, whose solutions are efforts by Turkey.
It is the Afghan conflict, somalian conflict, libyan conflict and syrian conflict. I analyzed what the foreign policy tools and the strategies of conflict resolution Turkey in this conflicts has used and as well in which phase of conflict entered the conflict resolving. At the end, I summarize the lessons learned and analyze which role Turkey plays in conflicts and to what extent adheres to the principle of its foreign policy.
