Práce popisuje dekádu, ve které vzniknul rakouský neoabsolutismus, se zaměřením na osobu Alexandera Bacha. Toto období vývoje rakouského císařství je velmi významné, neboť položilo základy moderního státu. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních kapitol. První kapitola popisuje průběh revoluce z roku 1848 až do jejího selhání. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na úspěch reakčních sil a postupné zavádění neoabsolutismu. Třetí kapitola popisuje reformy a excesy neoabsolutismu a historické selhání tohoto režimu následované přechodem k ústavnosti.

The thesis describes the decade in which the Austrian neo-absolutism was
born, focusing on the person of Alexander Bach. This period was a major part of
the development of the Austrian Empire because it laid the foundations of the
modern state. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter describes the course of the revolution of 1848 till its failure. The second chapter focuses on the success of the reaction forces and the gradual
introduction of neo-absolutism. The third chapter describes the reforms and
excesses of neo-absolutism and the historical failure of this regime followed by areturn to constitutionalism.

Research Plan
Cílem předkládané bakalářská práce je analáza činnosti Alexandra Bacha v době, kdy zastával úřad ministra vnitra Rakouského císařství, tedy mezi lety 1849 až 1859. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována zejména okolnostem obnovení neústavní vlády v Rakousku na základě přijetí Silvestrovských patentů v roce 1851 a postupnému nástupu tak zvaného Bachova absolutismu. Práce bude napsána na základě dostupné odborné literatury a vydaných pramenů v českém, anglickém a německém jazyce. Budou použity metody analýzy a kompilace.
