This bachelor thesis is dealt with the analysis of gender issues and transsexuality. Thus the ways gender is constructed in everyday interactions are illustrated in this paper, and furthermore, a question about ways and principles the categories of gender stereotypes are exceeded is laid in this work. Hence I analyze the phenomenon of transsexuality on the basis of this question, whereas transsexuality is a key used to reveal gender bipolar structure that is based just on gender stereotypes. Transsexual doing gender adverts to its possible fluidity in the meaning of passing the borders of gender categories man and woman. A counterpart of this theory is also highlighted in this work that develops the idea the practices of transsexuals don?t affect the gender dualism anyhow in the meaning that transsexuals themselves struggle for the best imitation of feminity or masculinity; moreover, these categories follow the normative order of the society. Dilemma of gender by transsexuality is analyzed theoretically and also underlaid empirically by the narrative analyses of books written by transsexuals.
