7. Selected medical examination methods, selected medicine groups
8. Selected physical illnesses
9.-10. Selected mental illnesses. Drug addiction. Stress and trauma.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
know human ontogenesis, in detail for children up to 6 years old |
know important organ system development (skeletal and muscular system, nervous system, respiratory system, reproductive system, immune system) emphasising kindergarten specifics |
know psychomotor, intellectual and social development emphasising children up to 6 years old |
know important nutrients and their role in human organism and human health (including negative effects), emphasising children nutrition and drinking regime |
know main hazards influencing human health including pathogens and other factors causing human diseases, aimed at children |
know hygiene rules, basics of health science and first aid |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
be able to assess children´s physical characteristics, psychomotor, intellectual and social development according to their age |
be able to assess common kindergarten equipment, activities, routines according to children abilities typical for their age and for children with special needs |
be able to critically assess different information concerning human nutrition and human health in respect to anatomical structures and physiological processes in human body |
characterise human sexuality, be able to include sexual education into the kindergarten education and be able to react to sexual behaviour of children |
