The first part of the thesis is focused on the theory of a character, on specifics of the child character and finally on the notion of the child aspect in literature for children and youth.
The practical part of the thesis is based upon the analysis of changes in the depiction of a child and a teenager in Czech prose since the 20th century, on the basis of executed interpretations of the Czech and world prose pieces.
