Bakalářská práce se zabývá suburbanizací v České republice a fenoménem satelitních měst. Cílem bylo zkoumat charakter sociálních vztahů a konfliktů v satelitním městě a provést komparaci se situací na vesnici. Výzkum vychází z teorie morálního minimalismu, založené na předpokladu, že obyvatelé suburbánních oblastí odmítají řešit konflikty se sousedy. Dále se opírá o teorii vyhýbání se, vycházející z toho, že obyvatelé suburbánních oblastí se vyhýbají sociálnímu kontaktu se svými sousedy. Výzkum byl komparativní a byl založen na polostrukturovaných rozhovorech s obyvateli ze satelitního města, s politickými činiteli obce a s obyvateli vesnice. Bylo provedeno i pozorování. Data ze satelitního města byla vyhodnocena a komparována s daty získanými na vesnici. Hlavním závěrem této práce bylo to, že obyvatelé satelitního města se kontaktům se svými sousedy nevyhýbají a vytváří s nimi přátelské, často i silnější sociální vazby. Konflikty se snaží řešit domluvou. Charakter sociálních vztahů je obdobný s charakterem na vesnici, na rozdíl od vesnice jsou však obyvatelé satelitního města závislí na městě, ke kterému satelit přiléhá jak z hlediska kulturního, tak z hlediska ekonomického (pracují ve městě). Obyvatelé vesnice vypovídali o městě spíše negativně.

The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the suburbanization process in the Czech republic and the phenomenon of satellite towns. The main goal was to investigate the character of social relations and conflicts in a satellite town, and to compare it with the situation in a village. The research was based on the moral minimalism, which comes from the presumption that inhabitants of the suburbia deny to solve conflicts with their neighbors. Furthermore this research worked with the avoidance theory based on presumption that inhabitants of a satellite town try to avoid social contact with their neighbors. The research was comparative and based on semi-structured interviews with inhabitants of a satellite town, with members of local municipality and with inhabitants of a village. There was made a nonparticipant observation as well. The data from the satellite town were analyzed and compared to the data from the village. The main finding of this research was, that inhabitants of the satellite town do not avoid the social contact with their neighbors and they make friendly, sometimes stronger social ties. They try to solve conflicts with the help of agreement. The character of social relations is comparable to the character in a village, but in contrast to the village the inhabitants of the satelite town are dependent on a city not only culturally, but also economically (they work there). The inhabitants of the village described the urban way of living as something negative.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá suburbanizací v České republice a fenoménem satelitních měst. Research Plan
Cílem mé bakalářské práce bude zkoumat charakter sociálních vztahů uvnitř satelitních městeček, případně i charakter sociálních konfliktů. Konkrétněji se budu zabývat dvěma teoriemi - teorií vyhýbání se a teorií morálního minimalismu, které se v rámci výzkumu pokusím potvrdit či vyvrátit. Výsledky budu získávat především kombinací polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s obyvateli satelitního městečk a pozorováním jejich sociálního života, dále pomocí rozhovorů se starostkou, popřípadě s dalšími politickými aktéry v dané oblasti a docházením na schůze místního zastupitelstva. Etická oblast výzkumu bude ošetřena především pomocí získání informovaného souhlasu respondentů, svobody odmítnutí, emočního bezpečí a zajištění anonymity jak respondentů, tak i satelitního městečka, kde bude výzkum z větší části probíhat. Postupovat budu dle projektu bakalářské práce ze dne 27/2/2010.
