Bakalářská práce se zabývá historickým vývojem australských závislých území od vzniku Australského svazu v roce 1901 do současnosti. Cílem práce je zodpovědět otázku, zda se vztah závislých území a centra v průběhu let měnil, nebo zda byla zachována pravidla nastavená při zakládání Australského svazu v roce 1901.
Úvodní teoretická část práce se zabývá historickým vývojem Australského svazu s přihlédnutím k problematice vnějších teritorií a jejich zakotvením v australské ústavě. Následující praktické kapitoly pak charakterizují konkrétní australské dependence. Závěr bakalářské práce je zaměřen především na shrnutí dílčích východisek jednotlivých kapitol a zodpovězení základní hypotetické otázky týkající se vlivu historického vývoje Australského svazu a jeho dependencí na vnitropolitické a administrativní uspořádání vztahu centra a závislých území.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on historical and political development of Australia's dependent territories in the period since the establishment of the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901 to the present. The text focuses on an analysis of key historical factors which influenced mutual relationships between the centre and the individual external territories.
The theoretical portion of the thesis consists of an excursion into the historical development of the Commonwealth of Australia considering its dependent territories and including a description of their position in the Australian constitutive order.The practical portion of the thesis focuses on specific examples of individual dependent territories and their ties to Commonwealth authority.The conclusion then summarizes the knowledge gained in the context of the main hypothesis the thesis poses.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá historickým vývojem australských závislých území od vzniku Australského svazu v roce 1901 do současnosti.
