Předmětem této bakalářské práce je přiblížit možná využití Teorie omezení a jejích Myšlenkových procesů v projektovém managementu, konkrétně potom při plánování projektu. Soustředí se také na uplatnění metody kritického řetězu namísto v současnosti daleko rozšířenější metody kritické cesty. Práce je rozdělena do tří navazujících celků, v nichž se prolíná teorie s praxí. Nejprve je poskytnut teoretický úvod do problematiky Teorie omezení a definice souvisejících pojmů, stejně jako definice relevantních pojmů z projektového managementu. Následně je tento teoretický základ využit a dále rozvíjen při analýze současné situace konkrétní firmy a návrhu jejího zlepšení konkrétním projektem. Pomocí Myšlenkových procesů Teorie omezení je v této práci detailně popsána cesta k implementaci navržených opatření, včetně analýzy možných negativních dopadů a problémů. Poslední část práce tvoří vytvoření harmonogramu projektu metodou kritického řetězu i kritické cesty a jejich vzájemné srovnání, a to nejen v tomto směru, ale i v dalších oblastech projektového managementu.

This bachelor thesis aims to explore the possible applications of Theory of Constraints and its Thinking Processes in project management and particularly in project planning. It also focuses on planning a project using the Critical Chain as opposed to the much more widespread Critical Path Method. The thesis consists of three parts, where theoretical knowledge mixes with practical applications. Firstly, the basics of Theory of Constraints are explained along with definitions of related terms and other relevant project management terms. Secondly, these definitions are used as a basis and are further expanded upon during an analysis of a current state of a real company and exploration of possible ways to improve it. Using the Thinking Processes of Theory of Constraints the thesis describes all of the necessary steps needed to achieve the proposed solution along with an analysis of possible negative consequences. Lastly, the thesis concludes with a comparison of the Critical Chain Project Management and Critical Path Method both in the way the task scheduling works and in other relevant areas of project management.
