Bakalářská práce se zabývá primárkami Republikánské strany v USA v roce 2012. Cílem této práce je zkoumat průběh primárek, ale zejména analyzovat relativní úspěšnost volební kampaně jednoho z kandidátů, Mitta Romneyho. První část práce se zabývá nastíněním systému a následně i průběhu primárek Republikánské strany. Druhá část je už zaměřena na samotnou kampaň Mitta Romneyho a jsou v ní analyzovány její jednotlivé prvky. V poslední části je z těchto poznatků vyvozen závěr a zhodnocení úspěšnosti Romneyho volební kampaně.

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the 2012 Republican presidential
primaries. The aim of this work is to analyze the process of the primaries, but mainly its aim is to analyze the campaign and its relative success of one of the
candidates, Mitt Romney. The first part of this thesis is oriented on describing the system and then the process of the Republican presidential primaries. Second part is focused on the Mitt Romney's campaign and its particular features. In the final part is from these findings developed a conclusion and evaluation of the relative success of the Romney's campaign.
