Bakalářská práce se zabývá historií botanické zahrady v Bečově nad Teplou v severozápadních Čechách a dále nejvýznamnějšími dřevinami a jejich vlastnostmi. Zahrada byla založena po první světové válce s důrazem na skalkové výsadby a v druhé řadě na stromy. Po druhé světové válce byla opuštěna a v druhé polovině 20. století pustla. Nyní je zahrada rekonstruována s cílem navrátit ji do značné míry do původního stavu. V práci jsou popsány charakteristiky vybraných dřevin a jejich vývoj za posledních 10 let. Nejcennější stromy jsou např. Phellodendron amurense Rupr. a Picea jezoensis S. et Z. Carr.

The bachelors work describes history and most significant trees and their characteristics in the botanic garden in Bečov nad Teplou in NW part of the Czech Republic. This garden was founded after the First World War and special attention has been paid to the alpine flowers and in the second place to the trees. The garden was abandoned after the Second World War and desolated in second half of 20th century. The garden is now renovated with the aim to return the garden to the almost original shape. Characteristics of main trees are given with comparison of changes after last 10 years. The most valuable trees are represented by Phellodendron amurense Rupr. and Picea jezoensis S. et Z. Carr.
