Annotation in English The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the Soviet regime´s influence to the cinematography during the 1920´s. The main question is, how the Soviet regime interfered in cinematography and what was the role of cinematography in this regime. The first chapter concerns the situation in the film industry after the Bolsheviks took power in Russia. Cinematography faced many problems whether economic or technological but it got up quickly. At this time, movie propaganda was used in Civil war. In the second chapter I was written about New Economic Policy and its reflection in cinematography. This step has brought success but rather for private companies than for the state one. Many famous movies were shooted in this era which is called "golden age" of Soviet cinematography. Third chapter is devoted to Soviet montage school and its representatives. Here i wanted to show, how was their work connected with the regime. I have choosed four directors (Eisenstein, Pudovkin, Vertov and Kuleshov) and two movies (Battleship Potemkin and Man with a movie camera) which I have analysed more. The main theme of the last chapter is Stalin´s rule - exactly steps of his desicions (such the First year plan and the Cultural revolution) and their influence on movie industry. Censorship has increased and the quality of movies has fallen down. Soviet regime was closely connected with cinematography and it couldnt be otherwise.
