V teoretické části práce se stručně zabývám anatomií mozku. Dále rozděluji jednotlivá kraniocerebrální poranění, popisuji jejich příznaky, diagnostiku a léčbu. Teoretická část pokračuje předoperační a pooperační péčí o pacienty s kraniocerebrálním poraněním.
V praktické části popisuji dvě kazuistiky s vytvořeným edukačním plánem. Zaměřuji se na průběh hospitalizace, propuštění a následné sledování na neurochirurgické ambulanci. Praktickou část doplňuji o manuál v péči o pacienty s kraniocerebrálním poranění.

In the theoretical part of the thesis is briefly explained the anatomy of the brain. Further are described types of craniocerebral injuries including their symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. The theoretical part continues with the preoperative and postoperative care of patients with traumatic brain injury.
In the practical part of the thesis are described two case studies with the established educational plan. The stress is laid on the course of hospitalization, discharge and follow-up at the Neurosurgical Clinic. The traumatic brain injury patients care manual presents a complement to the practical part of the thesis.
