Tématem této bakalářské práce je "Fenomén of Swinging Sixties: Populární kultura ve Velké Británii v 60. letech. Obecně platí, že 60. léta jsou známa jako dekáda ekonomické a kulturní prosperity a také jako jedno z nejlepších období v historii Velké Británie. Pro tuto práci byla použita kompilační metoda . Knihy z From the Bomb to The Beatles (1999) od Juliet Gardnierové a White Heat (2006) a Never Had It So Good (2005) od Dominica Sandbrooka jsou hlavními zdroji pro tuto práci.
Tato práce se skládá z pěti kapitol. Za prvé je zde stručný úvod do 60. let. První kapitola popisuje politickou situaci a také ekonomickou situaci v 60. letech ve Velké Británii. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na britskou společnost a její změny a také na vliv populární kultury. Třetí kapitola se zabývá některými vybranými oblasti populární kultury 60. let, jako je například populární hudba, televize a móda. Boom populární kultury v tomto desetiletí byl způsoben mnoha faktory, které se propojují v pravý čas (blahobyt, mladá generace, nové moderní technologie a další). Ekonomická prosperita a mnoho pozitivních kulturních změn dělají z 60. let jedno z nejlepších období v historii Velké Británie.

The theme of my bachelor thesis is "Phenomenom of Swinging Sixties: Po-pular culture in Great Britain in 1960s. In general, the 1960s are knows as a decade of economic and cultural prosperity and also as one of the best periods in history of Great Britain. I used compiling method for this bachelor thesis. Books From Bomb to the Bealtes (1999) by Juliet Gardnier and White Heat (2006) and Never Had It So Good (2005) by Dominic Sandbrook are main sources for this thesis.
This work consists of five chapters. Firstly there is a brief introduction to 1960s. First chapter describes political situation and also economical situation in 1960s Britain. Second chapter is focused on british society and its changes and also on influence of popular culture on it. Third chapter is about most infuential aspects of popular culture in 1960s, such as popular music, television and fashion. Boom of popular culture in this decade was caused by many factors that come together at the right time (affluence, young generation, new modern technologies and more). Economic prosperity and many positive cultural changes in 1960s makes this decade one of the best periods of British history to live in.
