Key learning outcomes
|
Graduates demonstrate a critical understanding of the historical theme, ability to fix and to present historical process through effective and motivating teaching methods. Graduates also prove the ability to capture the essence of interdisciplinary relationships in the thematic areas, and they are able to formulate main principles of didactic analysis. They are able to design, plan, organize and implement an effective teaching unit (a lesson, thematic block, excursion, extra curricular thematic competitions, etc). Graduates are aware of ways how to motivate students to an active and responsible approach to History. Graduates are familiar with making an erudite analysis of pupil performance, make conclusions drawn by the modern methods of evaluation and self-evaluation of students and asses pupils appropriately according to their specific circumstances. They are able to design teaching independently and confidently, they can use various teaching forms, methods, and means. They can make experiments to achieve effective educational results. They are able to draw general conclusions from the results of their work and the work of their students. They can properly argue and defend their own rules of evaluation. They are able to present the results of their work before professional and laical public.

Profile of the programme
|
This study programme is designed as an academic one. It consists of blocks of theoretical courses dealing with the field didactical patterns of History Education on an appropriate level. At the same time, it comprises block/blocks of courses focusing on exploiting theoretical background in practice and on acquiring skills that the graduate can apply in various positions. Graduates are capable to practise teaching and they are eligible to analyse it and are aware of the strengths and weaknesses of their teaching activities. The programme also includes practical training/study mobility/internship. In addition, after successfully completing this study programme, the graduate can apply for positions in various fields, such asdealing with education, museums, archives, libraryand conservation of sights or other practical application of historical education (e.g. tourism).
