Key learning outcomes
|
The follow-up Master's degree program in Public Administration builds on the Bachelor's Degree Program Legal Specialization, which has been successfully established at the Faculty of Law at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. The program responds to increasing demands on the quality and professional preparedness of public administration staff - inter alia, in connection with the adoption of the so-called "Staff Act". It is not only about acquiring advanced knowledge and skills in the field of public administration, but above all about the ability of public administration staff to see the performance of public power and related processes in a wider legal process - legal, social, economic, geographic, political and international. The curriculum responds to current practice requirements, which increasingly require a diversified, specialized training for various types of administrative activities. In addition to a generalist base in the field of administrative sciences, the graduate is also equipped with specialized knowledge focused on administrative areas, which until now have been of only a marginal interest in the previous bachelor's degree. The program aims, among other things, to extend and specialize the knowledge and skills provided to students of the Faculty of Law at the UWB within the framework of a previous Bachelor's degree program.
