Key learning outcomes
|
Graduates demonstrate knowledge and understanding in the areas of pedagogy, psychology and didactics related to teaching of computer science and computer technology, they have the latest information about the software and hardware of computers and computer systems, they understand the problems of systems theory (at an appropriate level), management and simulation and their application in education. They know the possibilities of e-learning and related concepts in education. They are oriented in the area of copyright law and adherence. They are able to effectively create a computerized slide show and properly present it to the public, analyze the possibilities of using multimedia computer for teaching, evaluate and produce practical examples of computer aided instruction; create web pages for the needs of the school environment. They understand the meaning of self-evaluation and can find solutions for application in school. They can analyze the various concepts of computer literacy in relation to the concept of literacy in general. They have skills in determining the quality of teaching software; further they are able to use the appropriate forms and modern methods for teaching at primary school with regard to the specifics of computer science and information technology. They can plan lessons of information technology and understand individual differences of teaching at the different type of school. They can find an electronic aid for teaching, including the use of the Internet in teaching.

Profile of the programme
|
This study programme is designed as an academic one. It consists of blocks of theoretical courses dealing with the field of pedagogy, psychology and didactics related to teaching computer science and computer technology. It provides the latest information about software and hardware of computers and computer systems, systems theory, control and simulation and their applications in education. The future graduates know the possibilities of e-learning and related concepts in teaching. They focus on copyright law and the needs of its compliance. At the same time, it comprises blocks of courses focusing on exploiting theoretical background in practice. The future graduates are able to effectively create a computer presentation and show it according to correct principles of presentation.
